NanoPure Multilayer Filter. When used in multiple layers, NanoPure filter media is capable of retaining 99.9999% of micro-organisms (such as viruses, bacteria & protozoa which can include Cryptosporidium, Giardia Intestinalis, Legionella, Pseudomonas, Salmonella, E-coli, Mycobacteria, Aspergillus), endotoxins & DNA  all at flow rates hundreds of times greater than virus-rated ultraporous filters.  And the turbidity of the water coming through the NanoPure media typically remains below 0.01 NTU (even when tested at 250 NTU) until the filter is exhausted. NanoPure filters utilize a non-woven filter media containing a thermally-bonded blend of microglass fibers and cellulose infused with nanoalumina fibers. The microglass and cellulose act as the scaffold upon which the active component of these filters (the nanoalumina fibers) is permanently affixed.

The advantage to this technology is that it is an adsorptive removal process; this innovative nanotechnology is based on attaching nanoalumina boehmite (AlOOH) fibers 2 nm in diameter x 250 nm in length onto a  submicron microglass structural fiber. This method makes available greater than 42,000 square meters of nanofiber surface area per square meter of filter media of loading capacity.

Most filters separate particles by the mechanisms of sieving, inertial impaction, interception and diffusion. This is true of most membranes as well as fibrous depth filters. Electropositive filters principally use adsorption (electro-adhesion) as the filtering mechanism, one that has been used for decades, either as a membrane or a fibrous depth filter.

The second part consist of the Whole House Carbon Filtration System, starts off with quartz under bedding for an even flow distribution of the water and sediment control. The water then filters through a deep bed of pre-washed Granular Activated Carbon (GAC).  Unlike other systems, we only use the high grade carbon from coconut shells.  This removes all chlorine, industrial contaminants, and gives the water great taste with no odor.

The third part of our water system, ProScale, utilizes Filtersorb, The technologically advanced Filtersorb SP3 Saltless Anti-Scale Media is an innovative solution that prevents all of the negative effects of calcium and magnesium, while allowing the positive health benefits to remain. The system is maintenance free, salt free and does not require costly regeneration and backwashing.a catalyst media which transforms the dissolved Mg2+ and Ca2+ carbonate into non-charged neutral chemical bonds (calcite crystals). When the crystals reach size in the range of nanometer (microscopic) they detach and are carried away by the water flow. The crystals are heat resistant and do not revert to dissolved state. All of these is being done  without the use of salt or potassium. Because the hardness minerals have been transformed into Nano particles, these Nanoscopic particles make their way through plumbing systems without attaching on to pipes, fixtures, valves, or heating elements. Scale free water is desirable for two reasons. The first, is to reduce scale build-up in pipes.  This build-up over time reduces water pressure, creates energy inefficiency, and damages home appliances such as water heaters, wash machines, dish washers and more.  Secondly, scale free water is desirable for the bathing, cleaning, laundering and more.

For over a hundred years people have been softening water by employing the traditional ion exchange salt using approach. For the past ten years Europeans have had access to Filtersorb SP technology to soften water. This approach is revolutionary and the benefits of Filtersorb SP catalytic media are very similar to that of traditional water softening. After flowing through the provided pre-filter the water goes into the softener and is immediately softened. The troublesome hardness ions are transformed into precipitated nano crystals which stay suspended in water regardless of temperature increase. They are rendered harmless to your plumbing system and are no longer aesthetically problematic.

It is vital to understand that the Filtersorb SP3 is an up flow water conditioner. The catalytic precipitation process will only effectively work if the media lifts as the water passes through. Therefore it is essential the system NOT BE OVERSIZED. Be advised bigger is not necessarily better. Thus an 8 inch diameter tank is highly recommended for most typical household applications. This will treat up to 9.5 gallons per minute. Use the larger 9 inch diameter tank if flow rates are to exceed 9.5 gallons per minute.
